Tribhuwan Army FC shared spoils with Ladakh FC in their second group stage match of the ongoing Durand Cup, playing out a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

Ladakh FC took an early lead through Siju S, who rose high to nod in a well-delivered cross in the opening minutes. However, the Army men responded swiftly, with Niranjan Dhami netting a clinical equalizer to bring Tribhuwan Army FC back into the game.

Despite both teams creating chances in the second half, neither could find the breakthrough as the match ended in a draw.

Earlier, the Nepali side had suffered a defeat against Indian Super League outfit Jamshedpur FC. With this result, Tribhuwan Army FC now shift focus to their final group match where they will face Indian Army.

The Durand Cup, Asia’s oldest football tournament, has once again provided a tough test for Nepal’s departmental side, who are seeking a strong finish to their campaign.
