Lisnu Youth Club, Tilottama-15, Kotihawa, which has built a strong identity through sports and social activities, is set to host the Yashoda Foods 23rd Lisnu Cup National Football Tournament from Bhadra 14.
At a press conference on Friday, the organizers announced that all preparations have been completed and also released the official fixture. The opening match will see Gorkha Boys Sports Club, Butwal take on Nawalparasi-11 at Pashupati Secondary School Ground, Tilottama-15.
A total of 12 teams from Rupandehi, Palpa, Nawalparasi, Syangja, and Nawalpur will compete in the tournament, with the final scheduled for Bhadra 27. The champions will receive NRs 4,04,444 along with the trophy, medals, and certificates, while the runners-up will earn NRs 2,02,222. Both losing semifinalists will be awarded NRs 25,000 each. Individual awards have also been announced for outstanding performers.
Organizers informed that players have been insured with accident coverage worth NRs 1 lakh for the entire tournament. Ticket prices have been set at NRs 100 up to the quarterfinal stage and NRs 200 from the semifinals onwards. The estimated cost of hosting the event is NRs 29,21,666.
Yashoda Foods Pvt. Ltd. is the main sponsor, while Tilottama-15 Ward Office is the co-sponsor. On the occasion, dignitaries including Yashoda Foods Manager Madhusudan Ghimire, Tilottama Ward-15 Chairman Khemraj Gurung (Munna), Panchakanya Group’s Devendra Sahu, and Rupandehi DFA President Lok Pun extended their best wishes for the successful completion of the tournament.
