The BSK Champions Cup 2025, organized by the Bhutanese Society of Kentucky, concluded on August 4 after three days of exciting football action.
In the youth final, Louisville Rising Star edged past Cincinnati Samba 1–0 to claim the title, while Beldangi-1 defeated Khudunabari 2–0 to lift the 30+ adult category trophy.
The champions received cash prizes of $10,000 (youth) and $7,000 (adult), while the runners-up earned $5,000 and $4,000 respectively. The tournament featured 10 youth teams and 8 adult teams from across the USA, delivering competitive league and knockout matches.
Mayor Greg Greenburg and Kentucky State Representative Daniel Grossberg attended the event, praising its positive impact on the community. A friendly women’s match saw the Louisville Women’s Team beat Columbus to lift the trophy.
BSK President Bhim Koirala thanked sponsors, volunteers, and the Kentucky community for their overwhelming support, noting the event was injury-free and conducted in a friendly atmosphere.
Matches were streamed live via BSK’s Facebook and GoalNepal.com, attracting over 2,00,000 online viewers.
